Barbie and the Judgment of Paris: Goddesses, Golden Apples, and Runway Diplomacy
Once upon a time in ancient Greece, a wedding took place—and someone forgot to invite Eris, goddess of discord and part-time chaos content creator.
Eris, not one to let a snub go un-avenged, crashed the party and rolled a golden apple into the middle of the divine buffet. On it was written:
“To the fairest.”
Three goddesses immediately pounced on it like it was a Sephora sale item:

================================
-
Hera, queen of the gods, power-hungry and dressed like a CEO who bites interns.
-
Athena, goddess of wisdom and war, in full armor but still somehow giving Vogue.
-
Aphrodite, goddess of love, beauty, and knowing her angles in every mythological painting.
Each claimed the apple. None were willing to share. Olympus descended into hair-pulling, passive-aggressive scroll-writing, and aggressive archery side-eye.
Zeus, sensing a migraine, yeeted the responsibility down to Paris, a mortal prince of Troy known mostly for sheep-herding and not knowing how to say no.
“But why him?” the gods asked.
“Because I don’t want to deal with it,” Zeus replied, applying thunderbolt balm to his temples.
And just when things were about to get dangerously Greco-Messy…
Barbie appeared.
Enter: Barbie of the Golden Mediation™
Wearing a flowing gown made of diplomacy clauses and a tiara that shimmered in conflict-free glitter, Barbie descended from her Cloud of De-Escalation.
She approached Paris as he stood sweating in a toga beside three terrifyingly gorgeous goddesses.
“Paris,” she said gently. “You look like a man about to make a decision that causes a 10-year war.”
“I—I am,” he stammered.
“I got you,” Barbie winked.
The Offers
Each goddess tried to bribe Paris:
-
Hera promised power. “You’ll be king of the known world,” she hissed.
-
Athena offered wisdom and victory in battle.
-
Aphrodite leaned in with full lash extension energy: “Choose me, and you’ll get the most beautiful woman in the world.”
Barbie cleared her throat. “Is anyone offering this man therapy or career coaching?”
The goddesses turned and glared.
Barbie smiled sweetly and handed each of them a clipboard.
“I’ve created a rubric. We’re going to have a fair and structured runway showdown judged by intellect, empowerment, kindness, and yes—lewk.”
Each goddess walked the runway.
-
Hera gave “Boardroom Baddie” with a thunderous power walk.
-
Athena performed a tactical pirouette with live owl commentary.
-
Aphrodite literally levitated in a cloud of rose petals and Rihanna vocals.
Barbie walked last, casually, wearing a simple flowing tunic that sparkled with equal pay and emotional intelligence.
Paris stared. “Are you in the contest too?”
Barbie smiled. “Nope. I’m the judge of the judge.”
He blinked. “So… who wins?”
Barbie handed him the golden apple.
“You do.”
“Wait, what?”
“You get to choose not to choose. Or you can give the apple to someone who needs validation but doesn’t cause continental destruction when she doesn’t get it.”
Paris stood in silence, then handed the apple to Barbie.
“Here. You’re clearly the only one keeping this situation from imploding.”
The Aftermath
Aphrodite still snuck off and made Helen fall in love with Paris (drama gonna drama), but Barbie’s version of events was preserved in a lesser-known epic scroll called:
“The Judgment of Paris: Alternate Ending That Doesn’t End in War or Burned Cities.”
Moral of the Story:
When goddesses fight over beauty, power, or love—Barbie turns it into a runway of reason. And sometimes the fairest one in the room is the one holding the clipboard.
