“Hello, Washington D.C.! It’s a thrill to be here in the city where the debates are as heated as Ken’s discussions with Siri. Siri still doesn’t get his jokes, but we’re working on it.

Let’s dive right in. Politics in D.C. are like a chess game, but in Ken’s version, it’s more like checkers – he’s still trying to king his pieces.

We visited the White House. Ken asked where the West Wing was. He thought it was a new chicken restaurant. His political acumen is as sharp as a bowling ball.

Walking through the National Mall, Ken was waiting for a sale. I had to explain, it’s not that kind of mall, Ken!

Speaking of history, we went to see the Lincoln Memorial. Ken was looking for vampire hunting gear. Too much late-night TV, I guess.

And the Washington Monument – Ken thought it was a giant sundial. He’s been standing there trying to tell time since Tuesday.

At the Smithsonian, Ken found his way to the space exhibit and asked if we could do a moon landing. He’s always shooting for the stars – sometimes literally.

We tried some famous D.C. chili. Ken thought it was a new kind of coffee. Let’s just say, he was awake for two days straight.

Ken’s been trying to understand D.C.’s metro system. He brought a compass and a map. Bless him, he still took the scenic route.

We took a Potomac River cruise. Ken was on the lookout for pirates. He’s still waiting for Captain Hook to show up.

And the cherry blossoms – Ken thought they were cotton candy trees. He’s been trying to harvest them. I haven’t had the heart to tell him the truth yet.

D.C.’s weather is as unpredictable as Ken’s cooking. One day it’s sunny, the next, he’s asking if we need an ark.

At the Air and Space Museum, Ken was looking for the Millennium Falcon. He’s convinced it’s parked in the back somewhere.

We attended a black-tie event. Ken wore a tie with little black ties on it. He’s a fashion icon in his own mind.

And about Capitol Hill, Ken brought hiking gear. He thought it was a literal hill to climb. He’s still searching for the summit.

We visited the Library of Congress. Ken asked for a library card. He wanted to check out a book on how to be a congressman. Always aiming high, that Ken.

D.C.’s jazz scene intrigued Ken. He bought a saxophone. Now, we just need to teach him which end to blow into.

Ken tried lobbying. He thought it was about making hotel lobbies more comfortable. He’s been rearranging furniture at the Hilton.

At a D.C. sports bar, Ken cheered for every team. He just loves the spirit of the game – and the chicken wings.

We explored Georgetown. Ken was looking for George. I didn’t have the heart to tell him it’s not named after a person.

And finally, filming the Barbie Sequel in D.C. has been like navigating a thrilling political thriller, but with more laughs and fewer filibusters. The director said, ‘Make it historic, Barbie.’ I said, ‘In D.C., every laugh is a part of history.’

Barbie: “Hello, Washington, D.C.! It’s such an honor to be here in the nation’s capital. You know, I’ve traveled all over, but there’s something about being in a city with so much history that makes me want to strike a pose and say, ‘Barbie for President!'”

[Laughter and applause]

Barbie: “But let’s talk about the National Mall. It’s like the ultimate Barbie dreamhouse, isn’t it? You’ve got the Lincoln Memorial – he’s like the Ken of presidents, tall and stoic. Then there’s the Washington Monument – I mean, who doesn’t love a good obelisk? And let’s not forget the U.S. Capitol – it’s like the biggest Barbie Dream Camper you’ve ever seen!”

Barbie: “I even tried to get into politics once, you know. I ran for mayor of Malibu. My campaign promise? Free glitter for everyone! Sadly, I lost to Skipper’s lemonade stand. Apparently, people prefer lemonade over glitter. Go figure!”

Barbie: “Speaking of lemonade, have you tried the cherry blossoms here in D.C.? They’re like nature’s confetti party! Every spring, the Tidal Basin transforms into a pink wonderland, and it’s a Barbie-approved photo op. Just remember, though, the cherry blossoms are stunning, but they don’t come with a lifetime warranty.”

Barbie: “Now, I’ve been doing a lot of museum hopping here in D.C. The Smithsonian museums are incredible. I went to the National Air and Space Museum, and I swear, I almost asked Neil Armstrong if he wanted to join my astronaut collection.”

Barbie: “But the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum is a sobering reminder of the importance of history and remembrance. It’s essential to learn from the past to create a brighter future. And let’s face it, I’m all about making the world a better place, one glittery accessory at a time!”

Barbie: “And let’s not forget about the food in D.C. I tried some amazing dishes in Georgetown. But I have to confess, I’m a bit of a foodie disaster myself. I once tried to make cupcakes, and they turned out more like cup-fails. Let’s just say the kitchen became a disaster zone.”

Barbie: “But I have to say, D.C., you’ve been an amazing audience. Thanks for having me, and remember, no matter where I go, whether it’s the Dreamhouse or the White House, I’ll always be the original Barbie, spreading love, laughter, and a whole lot of pink!”
