Modesto Comedy Club Ready for Barbie

Barbie’s stand-up comedy routine:

Barbie: Hey, folks! So, I’ve been on this whirlwind tour across America, trying to get the comedy done, you know. It’s not all about those fancy comedy clubs; I’m taking comedy to the heart of this great country! Now, let me tell you about some of the places I’ve been.

Modesto, California: Oh, Modesto! What a charming place! You know, they have this beautiful McHenry Mansion there. I couldn’t help but wonder, do they have any Ken dolls on display? I mean, that’s some serious Victorian-era swag!

Graffiti Summer: Modesto is known for Graffiti Summer, celebrating American Graffiti. You’ve got those classic cars rolling down the streets. I asked them if they needed a Barbie Corvette, but they said it wouldn’t quite fit in. Maybe next year!

Downtown Modesto: I went downtown, and I gotta say, those boutiques are tempting. I went shopping and found a pair of shoes that would’ve looked great in my Dreamhouse! But, you know, I couldn’t find any stores selling “Ken-catching” nets.

Galaxy 12 Theatres: I watched a movie at the Galaxy 12 Theatres, and let me tell you, it was out of this world! I tried to convince them to screen a Barbie movie as a comedy special, but they said they were busy with the latest blockbusters. Well, I guess I’ll have to keep dreaming!

Modesto Certified Farmers’ Market: The farmers’ market in Modesto is fantastic! I love fresh produce, and they had the juiciest strawberries. I even considered doing a comedy routine right there, but I thought I’d let the fruits and veggies shine.

Dry Creek Regional Park: I went to Dry Creek Regional Park and tried my hand at fishing. Can you believe it? Me, Barbie, with a fishing rod! But, alas, no luck. Maybe I’ll stick to comedy.

Graceada Park: Now, if you’ve ever been to Graceada Park in Modesto, you know it’s a beautiful place to relax and unwind. There’s a charming rose garden there, and let me tell you, I tried to make friends with those roses. I told them my favorite color was pink too, but they just wouldn’t budge. I guess roses aren’t much for conversation.

MoBand Concerts in the Park: Oh, I had a blast at the MoBand concerts in the park during the summer. The Modesto Band of Stanislaus County sure knows how to put on a show. I even thought about joining them on stage, but they said they needed a few more brass instruments, and I left my trumpet at home.

Gallo Winery Tasting Room: Now, speaking of brass, I ventured over to the Gallo Winery Tasting Room. They have some of the finest wines there, but you know, I’m more of a sparkling water gal myself. I tried to do a stand-up routine about wine-tasting, but the audience was more interested in sipping the wine than laughing at my jokes.

Galactic Adventures: You all must have heard about Ken’s latest adventure, right? He’s on a mission to Mars in “Ken’s Movie,” and guess what? He’s stranded in space, and I have to rescue him! Can you believe it? Barbie to the rescue, once again. But I’ll tell you, folks, I had to remind Ken to pack his space helmet. You know how forgetful he can be sometimes. Now, he’s up there with nothing but a space suit and a dream, and I have to save the day. It’s like a real-life action movie, but with more pink and less explosions.

Barbie’s Comedy Career: Now, let’s talk about my stand-up comedy career. It’s not as easy as it looks, you know. Sure, I can make jokes about fashion and Dreamhouses all day, but when you’re out there on the stage, it’s a different ballgame. People expect you to be funny, and sometimes, they’re a tough crowd. But you know what they say, “You can’t please everyone, but you can sure try.”

Barbie’s Comedy Heroes: I’ve been inspired by some of the greats in comedy, like Ron White, Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart, Groucho Marx, Billy Crystal, Adam Sandler, Jackie Mason, Sarah Silverman, Larry David, Roseanne Barr, and Amy Schumer. Each of them brings their unique style to the stage, and that’s what I aim to do too. I want to make people laugh and forget about their worries, even if it’s just for a little while.

So, as I continue my comedy journey, I want to thank all of you for being here tonight. You’re the reason I do what I do, and I promise to keep bringing the laughs, whether I’m in Modesto or any other town across this great nation. And remember, laughter is the best accessory a girl can wear, and I’m here to accessorize your lives with humor, one joke at a time.

So, folks, let’s keep the laughter going, and who knows, maybe one day you’ll see “Barbie’s Comedy Special” on the big screen. Until then, keep smiling, keep laughing, and always keep it fabulous!
