Barbie’s Standup Comedy Routine: “The Case of Lance Armstrong’s Missing Bikes”

Barbie’s Standup at the Austin Comedy Club

“Hello, everyone! So, have you heard about Lance Armstrong’s $100,000 bike heist? Six bikes, poof, gone! It’s like when I can’t find my pink convertible in the Barbie parking lot. Panic mode!

Part 1: The Great Bike Caper “Two guys, Shaun and Ethan, allegedly decide to go shopping in Lance’s storage unit. But instead of a Black Friday sale, it’s more ‘Five-Finger Discount Friday.’ They take off with bikes worth $100K. It’s like me taking a stroll in Ken’s closet and ‘accidentally’ borrowing his limited-edition sneakers.

Part 2: Trek Bikes – Not Your Average Two-Wheelers “These aren’t just any bikes; they’re Trek road racing bikes. We’re talking top-of-the-line, probably faster than my dream camper on a downhill slope. One of these bikes recently sold for almost $50,000 at auction. That’s like one of my designer gowns, but with gears and pedals!

Part 3: The Heist – A Tale of Two Trips “The thieves made two trips to pull off this heist. First trip at 9:34 a.m., they grabbed three bikes. Then, like they forgot the milk, they came back 12 hours later for the rest. It’s like going to the mall for shoes and coming back for the matching handbag.

Part 4: The Surveillance Tape – A Burglar’s Blunder “Police caught them through surveillance footage. It’s like when Ken leaves his vlog camera on and accidentally records himself doing ballet. ‘Shaun, Ethan, you’re on Candid Camera!’ And not in a fun, reality TV kind of way.

Part 5: The Apartment Raid – Bikes, a Gun, and a Hoodie “Then, police raid Harms’ girlfriend’s apartment. They find three bikes, a stolen gun, and the hoodie he wore during the burglary. It’s like finding a treasure trove, but instead of gold and jewels, it’s high-end bicycles and incriminating fashion choices.

Conclusion: The Moral of the Story “So, what’s the moral here? If you’re going to steal something, maybe don’t go for celebrity bikes that are worth more than a house. And definitely don’t wear a memorable hoodie!

“Thank you, and remember, whether you’re riding a bike or driving a dream car, it’s not about the speed, but how you enjoy the ride. Goodnight, and stay on the right track!”

Lance Armstrong? Really? Stand-up comedy?

Alright, alright, settle down! Thanks for havin’ me, Austin! I know what you’re thinking: “Lance Armstrong? Really? Stand-up comedy?” Look, I get it. You’re picturing me up here, huffing and puffing into a microphone, sweating more than a cyclist in July. But hey, hear me out! Doping jokes aside, my life’s been a wild ride, full of ups, downs, and enough EPO to fuel a rocket to Mars. So tonight, we’re gonna crack open the Pandora’s box of my career, take a good laugh at the absurdity of it all, and maybe, just maybe, learn a little somethin’ somethin’ about second chances…and the legal definition of “performance enhancement.”

Austin Barbie - "Lance Armstrong? Really? Stand-up comedy?
Austin Barbie

Let’s rewind to the 90s. Cancer survivor, comeback kid, yellow jersey seven times in a row – I was basically America’s golden boy on two wheels. Kids wore Livestrong bracelets like they were actual superpowers. People cried when I crossed the finish line. Talk about pressure! It was like I was pedaling uphill with a nation’s hopes strapped to my back tire.

Remember these bad boys? They were everywhere! On wrists, ankles, car bumpers, heck, I saw one glued to a hamster wheel. We were all fighting cancer, one rubber band at a time. Turns out, the only thing I was really fighting was a syringe full of EPO and a whole lotta denial.

Now, I ain’t sayin’ everyone in cycling was juiced. But let’s just say, if a water bottle looked suspiciously like a chemistry lab experiment, you probably didn’t wanna ask what was in it. It was like a scene out of “Breaking Bad,” only with spandex and less pizza.

Look, I made some bad choices. Big ones. Choices that involved questionable substances and even more questionable French accents. But hey, I wasn’t the only one. It was like a dirty little secret the whole sport shared, passed down from generation to generation like a bad case of chafing.

But here’s the thing: even without the doping, cycling’s still a pretty ridiculous sport. I mean, we wear spandex shorts tighter than a Kardashian selfie and spend hours torturing ourselves on two wheels, all for the glory of…reaching the finish line first? It’s like running a marathon, only you gotta shave your legs and wear a helmet that makes you look like a mutant praying mantis.

And don’t even get me started on the Tour de France. Three weeks of grueling uphill battles, baguette breath, and enough yellow jerseys to start a banana stand. I swear, some of those climbs were steeper than my learning curve when I first tried to explain EPO to Oprah.

But you know what? Despite the scandals, the lies, and the questionable bodily fluids, cycling taught me a lot. It taught me about resilience, about pushing my limits, and about the importance of a good pair of padded shorts. Okay, maybe not that last one.

Seriously though, folks, my story ain’t just about cheating and yellow jerseys. It’s about second chances, about learning from your mistakes, and about coming clean, even if it takes six years and a Oprah-sized spotlight. I may never wear the yellow jersey again, but I’m still riding, still fighting, and still trying to make a difference, one awkward apology at a time.

So next time you see a Livestrong bracelet, don’t just think of doping and deceit. Think of a guy who fell off his bike, got back on, and somehow managed to spin the biggest yarn of all time. And hey, if I can go from cancer patient to cycling champion to disgraced cheater to stand-up comedian, there’s hope for everyone. Even for that guy in the back still wearing his Livestrong headband. Seriously, dude, it’s 2023. Let it go.
